McKinney Falls – Day 2
On our second day at McKinney Falls State Park we spent the morning editing pictures (David) and reading (Janet).
After lunch Janet got her hair cut and visited a grocery that was nearby. The Central Market had by far the best collection of produce we have ever seen at a supermarket. It was hard not to over-purchase.
On the way back to our site we took another short hike to the lower falls of Onion Creek. The creek winds through a limestone table before dropping about 5 feet. The wind was too brisk for this to be a pleasant walk.
The weather report for tomorrow and Sunday is for freezing rain so we made plans to spend two more nights here. By Monday perhaps we will have some typical Texas January weather. And it is a big football weekend. 🙂
