Kartchner Caverns II

Full day. A mid morning tour of the Rotunda — one of the two caverns open for tours. Afterwards we returned to the van for a quick snack and change of chores to hiking boots.

we completed the Foothills Trail once again — this time in a counterclockwise direction. It is a wonderful trail with great views. Just a few rough spots. At one point the sky became very dark and foreboding, but no rain came. Near one of the washes, Christine saw a javelina sneaking through the underbrush. In general, little wildlife. Not even birds. I think it is the cold weather.
