Catalina State Park: Day 2
A pleasant day spent hiking part of the Romero Canyon Trail. We got a late start so we only hiked partway up from the Moreno Pools (which had water!) and then turned back. The hike after the Moreno Pools is rather steep and rough, but the views make it worth every step. Total mileage: 4.4 miles.
Still cool as the sun sets, but we managed to cook, but not eat, outside. A lovely sunset and lots of little ground squirrels racing around in the open area near our van.
