KOFA Queen Canyon Road II
We spent a quiet day parked near the Queen Canyon Road. We did a little housekeeping, had showers, and walked around in the desert so David could take yet more pictures.
Lots of four-wheel buggies passed by. One group of 12 and another of 8 were noteworthy. Not exactly sure what they do when they reach the dead end. At sunset we could see some lights higher up on the mountain at the end — perhaps they are camping for the night. Tomorrow is a holiday — President’s day – so we will stay here one more day before heading to Quartzite for a dump and grocery shopping.
No species new to us on our walk today, but we did see a buckhorn cholla — the first in this area. A number of big deep holes that had been dug recently — probably a rabbit.
