Sprinter Service

We left Kartchner Caverns SP for a short drive into Tucson for the 20K service on our Sprinter van. They have a new facility on the southeast side of town that is easier to negotiate than the one on Grant Road. While we waited for the van service, we read and took a walk along the River Walk (the Julian wash) and through a neighborhood.

When the van was finally ready, nearly 5 hours, we stopped for a few groceries and headed to Katherine and John’s in Northeast Tucson. They have a home with the most incredible view of Mount Lemmon. We had a nice visit watching the changing light on the mountain followed by a delicious dinner at North, an Italian restaurant. Katherine had requested a table on the patio which was somewhat enclosed and heated but, most importantly, much quieter than the main restaurant.

We will leave in the morning, heading south to Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. We are always happy to visit John and Katherine and sad to leave.
