Tucson Visit
We had a great day today. After leaving Tucson Mountain Park, we headed across the Gates Pass. It’s a road with a great view, but certainly is winding and narrow.
After a quick stop at Best Buy to pick up a disk drive exterior to replace one which had malfunctioned, we stopped to see an old friend from junior high school that I hadn’t seen in 50 years. Katherine Madison Cerino and her husband, John, live in North Tucson with a view of Mount Lemmon and the Catalina Mountains to the north and the Rincon Mountains to the east. It was a pleasure to remember our days in Swarthmore and talk about the people we both knew.
I must say I like Katherine and John’s home and life style. I haven’t experienced a Tucson summer, but an 80-degree day followed by 45-degree night, seemed just about perfect. Being able to sit out side in the shade with a book and no bugs is another plus. I’m so glad we were able to get together and hope to see them again in less than 50 years.

It was so wonderful to see you guys! It is special to know that someone you liked at age 12 you still like at age 66. Have a great rest of your trip.
Agreed! We really enjoyed the visit. Let’s not let so much time pass before the next time.
