Buckeye AZ
Not a very exciting day. We got a late start from the LTVA, walked a bit in the desert off I-10 in an area with a really interesting desert floor with lots of undisturbed rocks with varnish, talked with some ATV riders from Canada and Washington State, washed Vanessa (very muddy after Yuma), and finally ended up in the Sonoran Desert south of Buckeye AZ.
We were unable to access the camping area we were heading to because the road was in bad shape, but found a flat, gravel area off the road with a view of Gila Bend to the south and lots of mountains and cacti. The sunset was lovely.
