Table Top Mountain Hike
Within view of the City of Rocks SP is a high (about 500 feet above the campground) mesa with a rocky ridge around the top — called Table top mountain. We decided to hike to the top, 5700 feet. The nearly 4 mile round trip from the trailhead, was mostly a gentle rise, until the end when it became much rockier and steep. The 360-degree view from the top was amazing. We could see the campground and the river where we walked yesterday.
We returned to our campsite to watch the Michigan-Wisconsin game which Michigan won, then relaxed until it was time to grill our dinner — salmon and asparagus with a tossed salad.
