Observation Point

Observation Point

We decided to spend another two days at City of Rocks. The weather is so pleasant and the views so lovely, but really, I think we just don’t want to start home to, presently, snowy West Lafayette.

We spent a good part of the day reading and editing pictures, but Janet did circle the campground once on foot. Then in the afternoon we took the road to the observation point and picnic area. The road is signed, “Rough,” but was not. Just like Table Mountain, the 360-degree views are incredible.

We enjoyed watching a hawk soaring and diving over the plain. There are quite a few lizards and rabbits out and about. A number of raven were perched on the rocks near the picnic area.
