Saint Robert MO to Springfield IL

It seems as if the weather has been causing us to change plans on this entire trip. Today we had planned to drive to Kickapoo State Recreation Area in IL to spend the last night of our trip, then drive the last 1.5 hours home. But the rain became heavy soon after St Louis. As the fog began to settle in we decided to find yet another Walmart to spend the night.

Prior to the rain, we had enjoyed a nice drive under cloudy skies. Nice views of the MO wine country and the city of St Louis. The arch is a striking landmark.

We stopped in Springfield IL, shopped for things we will need at home, had a soup and salad dinner, and watched some Big Ten basketball. The ATT internet was quite good.
