Soldier Lake Hike

We really like this campground.  The sites are mostly level and many have great lake views. The weather is perfect — a breeze and low 70s.  A few loons in the lake add to the ambiance.

We took a walk around the lake and down to a nearby lake — East Soldier Lake.  The latter had a big beaver house.  Just over 2 miles total.  

The walk was pleasant — some paved roads; some forest carpeted with ferns, blueberries, and dogbane; and some sand trails— churned up by four wheelers.
