Little Wildhorse Canyon Trail
First order of business was to drive to a mesa closer to civilization so we could get some internet to check for weather reports. Report: No rain until next week.
From there we drove to the Little Wildhorse Canyon trailhead. This is a very popular, family-friendly walk. Initially we walked up a gravel wash then entered a slot canyon. After the first two rock collapses that had to be scrambled over, Janet decided this was not a walk for her. David continued on and Janet returned to the van and a bit of walking near the parking lot. David enjoyed about a mile walk in the canyon and took lots of pictures.
From the canyon we drove up Temple Mountain road to the top of the swell. The road is a reasonable well-kept gravel road, but narrow. Our camping spot is a level area just off the road with an incredible view of Temple Mountain and a canyon of the swell.
