Temple Mountain Wash

Another bright sunny day.  I could sit for hours looking at the rocks, watching the changing patterns created by the sun.

After another lazy morning we headed down the road to a 4-wheel track, Temple Mountain wash.  The maps show it to be a gentle decline to a canyon at the base of Temple Mountain.  It was just that, with lots of level camping spots along the way — all unoccupied.  We did reach the canyon, but it was a 50 foot drop from the wash to the canyon.  We did not attempt to go down but did enjoy the view.

One small disaster for the day was while Janet was squatting behind a tree, she lost her balance and face planted into the dirt and rocks.  Fortunately the damage is minimal.
