San Rafael Swell
On a blustery day, we drove down I-15 then UT6 to Price UT. At times it rained hard, at others it merely sprinkled. Route 6 was an amazing road. Steep rock cuts with an elevation change of about 2500 feet. At the BLM office in Price, where there was no rain, we spoke to an officer who warned us about muddy roads in the area we planned to visit. After talking with him, we decided to head to Temple Road, which is a paved road off US-24. After the paved road ended we followed a reasonably graded dirt/gravel road and found place among the rocks to spend the night.
David was surprised that there were quite a few people camping in the Swell.
