I-70 Through the Rocky Mountains

I-70passes through the Rocky Mountains and past many well-known ski resorts — Keystone, Vail, Copper Mountain, Loveland,…. On only one did we see anyone skiing.

Next to the road is a walking bike path that was in heavy use. There were plenty of rafters enjoying the Colorado. Water levels were not particularly high.

I-70 is certainly an amazing engineering feat. Both the rock cuts and the tunnels are awe inspiring.

We made it to Goodland KS for the night. Another Walmart, another quick shopping trip.
