Alamogordo to Amarillo

From Alamogordo we took US 70 to Clovis where we drove US 60 to I-27. US 70 took us some beautiful mountains, the Mescalero Apache reservation, and parts of the Lincoln National Forest.

We stopped for a couple of hours at a rest stop where we were able to watch Wisconsin beat Villanova in an exciting upset! Nice to be sitting on a rise, looking over the hills where missile silos used to be, while watching a game.

We stopped for the night in Amarillo at a Walmart with great wi-if so we were able to watch the Purdue-Iowa State game over the internet. Purdue gave us a bit of a scare, but finally won the game.
