Off to Oregon

Amanda’s wedding is July 22, and we are heading out in Savanna to Bend early so we can stop to visit family in Madison and do some sightseeing and hiking on the way.

After David finished all the mowing and Janet had her haircut, we left about one for Madison.  The drive through Chicago was uneventful except for about 20 minutes of heavy rain.  It slowed us down, but traffic never stopped.

Sarah created a wonderful dinner of tabohleh, watermelon, and falafel. Her falafel is the best, follows the original Moosewood recipe with her own special alteration.

After dinner we went to Emily’s house to see all the changes she and Eric have made, then returned to Sarah and Steve’s for strawberry shortcake.  Sarah and Steve had picked the berries when they were up in Mercer last weekend.
