La Pine State Park

After a quiet morning, we packed up and headed out to the state park not far from Bo;s house — we will be nearby but I am going to miss my morning snuggles with Bo. After one quick stop at the Shop Smart, we entered the park and found our reserved spot. It;s a great park with widely spaced sites with fire rings and picnic tables. Flush toilets and showers make it a popular place for families to camp.

Amanda and Bo joined us for dinner following a 1.5 Mike walk along the Deschutes. The walk that started right from the campground gave us astounding views of the forest on the other side of the river.
