Green River to St George
Today was another driving day through gorgeous scenery — particularly the part through the northern part of the Capitol Reef. Not only is the scenery stunning, but it is constantly changing in nature — red rocks, white rocks, black rocks. Huge weathered formations. The road climbed to 8000 feet and then we would descend to 5000 or so with a 6% decline.
After joining with I-15, we headed south into a much more populated area. We spent the night at Snow Canyon State Park, a small campground nestled in among high red rock formations. We enjoyed having electric as the temperature was 107-degrees when we parked. Air conditioning was much appreciated.
