Kartchner Caverns SP

We returned to Kartchner Caverns SP because it is lovely, they have campwide Wi-Fi that David needed for some work, and we needed a physical address to receive our new credit cards — our old one had been hacked.

We again took one of the cave tours — the Big Room Tour. We were again impressed with the accessibility of the cave and the knowledge of the ranger leading us. Unlike so many caves, we were hot, not cold (caves acquire the average yearly-daytime temperature) so it was a pleasant hour. The Big Room tour is only available from October until April, since bats live inn the cave during the other months.

David asked the park host about flying his drone — as expected not allowed in Arizona State Parks, as was the case in Texas. However, they suggested flying in the National Forest which had an access road south of the park off 90. The drone (DJI Inspire 1) worked well.
