Fire

After leaving Kickapoo we began to smell smoke and stopped when we realized we had a fire under our bed. Fortunately we had an extinguisher so that David was able to put it out fairly quickly. Our table and lawn chairs were toast and the water lines were melted, but fortunately there was little other damage.

In hind sight Janet realized she had been smelling a bit of smoke in the middle of the night, however, we were in a campground with lots of fires and didn’t think anything of it. Rebuilding and cleaning up the storage area under the bed will be a lengthy project and of course it would be nice to figure out why we had a fire.
