Lake Wissota SP Trails
We took a 3-mile walk along some of the beautifully kept trails this park has to offer. Some are also horse trails, but the ones we took are seldom used by horses. When horses use the trails a great deal, they really chew up the trails and they become very soft and hard to walk on.
Our walk took us through pine, oak, and birch woods, along the lake, and next to a area of restored prairie. Along the way were thick mosses, ferns, and spring wildflowers – daisies, lupine, and a few we couldn’t identify. All in all, a pleasant morning.
