Superior WI

We enjoyed a marvelous 2 day visit in Superior WI with Emily, Eric, and Eric’s parents. We walked the Canal area in Duluth where we watch glass blowing, enjoyed craft shops, enjoyed a bit of liquid libation at the Bent Paddle, and a great dinner at OMC Smokehouse.— great brisket and smoked pork and Emily reported that the vegetarian Sloppy Joe was outstanding.

We also took a walk along Lake Superior. Each time we have walked the lake edge has been so different. This time our walk was a bit cool and windy on a beach with sand, no stones, except for a small lighthouse, there was no sign of development.

Chuck and Lori, Eric’s parents, were perfect hosts. Their home is so lovely and comfortable. We enjoyed many conversations — getting to know them.

Monday we will start the trip home with an overnight stop in Madison.
