El Paso

El Paso is just a short drive from Hueco Tanks.  We closed up camp and headed in with plans for a housekeeping day.  We had close to 2-weeks of laundry and a relatively empty refrigerator.  The Supreme laundry on Zaragoza was a clean, comfortable place to do the laundry and the Vista Central Market a few doors down was a fine place to stock up on barbecue pork and brisquit, tamales, guacamole, and veggies.

We spent two nights in the Walmart, also on Zaragoza, as we had some more shopping to do, and we wanted to watch some football on Sunday.  We also found that we got great free wi-fi from the Chick-fil-a across the way.

It was good we decided to spend two nights here as the weather on Saturday became seriously awful — high winds, hail, rain, and cold.  Our weather has been unusually inclement for this time of year in western Texas.
