Fla’s Interment
Flavia wished to be buried at the Eastlawn Cemetery in Swarthmore where our parents and Chip are buried. It took us two years to make it happen, but on October 6 we gathered with a group of friends to do so.Jan Edwards Alexander, Sue Carroll Edwards, Pat and Sari Steuber, Jane and Bruce e Murray, and Mike Grimes were able to join us. It was a lovely warm, sunny day to stand around and reminisce about Flavia. She was lucky to have so many life-long friends who cared about her. Many others had wished to come, but traveling is not as easy when we approach 80.After our time in the cemetery we invited all to join us for lunch at the Inn at Swarthmore. A good lunch, though the dining room was quite loud making it hard to talk with more than a neighbor. The food was good though there was a mixup in I our order. All in all it was still a pleasant time.We said goodbye and headed north to Ricketts Glen State Park in the Poconos.
