Kodachrome State Park

Kodachrome State Park

The day started out gray and cool. We walked over to the .5 mile Nature Trail. Nice. Meandering trail among smooth Navajo Sandstone with hoodoos and columns.

Across the road was the trailhead for Angel’s Palace Trail. We started the trail, which again has amazing views of the rock formations, but when it started to rain we decided we had better head back. The rock surfaces and fine sand get very slippery when wet here.

It continued to be overcast with sporadic rain so we spent the afternoon reading and editing pictures. When things started to clear around 4:30 we were able to cook our meal outside.
